We are going to continue collecting supplies for the Nicholas County Animal Shelter. Please collect and send these items as soon as you are able. 

Important Dates:

  • February 11 - We will NOT have chapel this Wednesday.
  • February 13 - We will plan to have a small Valentine's Day party in class around lunchtime. Students may bring valentines to exchange in class. You are welcome to send a small bag/box to carry them home in. If at all possible, please send in $4 to help with cost of goodies for the party. That should cover pizza, drinks, and a sweet treat for the kiddos.
    • We have 11 students: Paislee, Brandon, Aubrey, Jaxson, Kaylee, Brentley, Scarlett, Aurora, Ronin, Leeanna, Toby
  • February 16 - School WILL be IN SESSION and HOMECOMING Games will be played on this evening.

· Spirit Link and Merchandise Sale- daily until February 16 (game day will be the last day)

· Service Project - – Pictures of class/project with a description of your project need sent to Mrs. Lucky in an email by Thursday, February 12. If you are not going to complete your project by then, send a class picture and description.

  • Bible - Practice Colossians 3:23 And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men; - This is the theme verse for Homecoming (we earn points for knowing it) and our verse for the test on Friday.
  • Math - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZOr34D4wm-I - Please have your child watch this video on Roman Numerals. Afterward, use the link below to open a practice exercise. I realize that not everyone has access to a printer, so if that is the case, writing the assignment on notebook paper is perfectly fine.
  • Spelling - Write List 19 and study for the practice test on Thursday.

❄ Your child is coming home with two snow packets. They must do the one dated 1/20/26 and return it the next time school is in session. The second packet needs to be completed IF we have a snow day on Monday and returned on our next day back. Please message me if you have any questions about their assignments. ❄

**During Homecoming, each class will be doing a service project. Second grade will be collecting items that could be used at the animal shelter. Such items include: dog/cat food, cat litter, cleaning supplies, etc.. Please start sending these items as soon as possible. **
