Announcements:

12 Days of Christmas Theme Days - Check the school's main page for information.
Monday 12/11 - Reading logs due!
Thursday 12/14 - NLCA Christmas Play 10:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m. BOYS will wear BLACK shirt, pants, and socks. GIRLS will wear WHITE shirt, pants, and socks. Students will be dismissed immediately after the morning performance. Please have them back at school by 6:15 to get ready for the evening show.
Tuesday 12/19 - Classroom Christmas Party - Please send $10.00 to help offset the cost.
Wednesday 12/20 - Early Dismissal
Thursday 12/21 - Monday 1/1 - Christmas Break

Homework Policy

In second grade, homework is typically limited to Reading, Spelling, and Bible. However, if classwork is not completed by the end of the day, it must be completed at home for homework. Additionally, it is important for students to practice math facts. This can be done during car rides or playing board games with dice. Make it fun!
Reading - Students will be expected to read 3 nights a week and fill out a reading log.
Spelling - A new list of words will be assigned each week. We will practice these words in class, however, studying at home will help prepare for weekly tests. Students may write out their list at home and bring it back to be counted as bonus points toward their test. One point will be awarded per written list and up to 5 bonus points will be counted toward their test.
