Bible - Continue to memorize Psalm 1:1-2

Reading - Read 20 minutes and log the book title, time read, and your favorite part of the book.

Spelling - Write List 17 in cursive, then circle the special sounds using a colored pencil. *The focus for this list is prefixes.

Homework Policy

In second grade, homework is typically limited to Reading, Spelling, and Bible. However, if classwork is not completed by the end of the day, it must be completed at home for homework. Additionally, it is important for students to practice math facts. This can be done during car rides or playing board games with dice. Make it fun!
Reading - Students will be expected to read 3 nights a week and fill out a reading log.
Spelling - A new list of words will be assigned each week. We will practice these words in class, however, studying at home will help prepare for weekly tests. Students may write out their list at home and bring it back to be counted as bonus points toward their test. One point will be awarded per written list and up to 5 bonus points will be counted toward their test.
