Announcements:

Monday 5/15 - NLCA Talent Show at 1:00 p.m.
Tuesday 5/16 - Marathon Scholars 8:15 a.m.
Thursday 5/18 - This will be our class party day and we will be having a "GLOW PARTY"! Feel free to send your kids to school wearing something neon so they will glow under the black lights. We will also be presenting class awards at 1:30 p.m. that day and we would love to have you there!

If at all possible, please send $5.00 to help cover the cost of their goodies for the day.

Friday 5/19 - END OF YEAR PARTY and Food Truck Sales 10:00 - 2:00. Come spend the day with us!
Monday 5/22 - Last day of school

Homework Policy

In second grade, homework is typically limited to Reading, Spelling, and Bible. However, if classwork is not completed by the end of the day, it must be completed at home for homework. Additionally, it is important for students to practice math facts. This can be done during car rides or playing board games with dice. Make it fun!
Reading - Students will be expected to read 3 nights a week and fill out a reading log.
Spelling - A new list of words will be assigned each week. We will practice these words in class, however, studying at home will help prepare for weekly tests. Students may write out their list at home and bring it back to be counted as bonus points toward their test. One point will be awarded per written list and up to 5 bonus points will be counted toward their test.
