Good evening! It was such a beautiful day today, I hope you are enjoying every minute!

Announcements:

I put your child’s username and password for the DreamBox app on the inside of their folders. If you are able, please load it onto a device so your child is able to log on at home. Make sure they are the doing all the work.

Please have your child finish the packet that was sent home and turn it in on Monday.

We are going on a field trip to Dairy Queen on Monday for ice cream cones, so send those permission forms back.

Tuesday - Phonics Test 24, Writing Test 22

Wednesday - Math Test 23

Thursday - Spelling Practice Test List 25

Friday - Spelling Test List 25, Bible Test Psalm 139:14 - I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvelous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well.

Homework Policy

In second grade, homework is typically limited to Reading, Spelling, and Bible. However, if classwork is not completed by the end of the day, it must be completed at home for homework. Additionally, it is important for students to practice math facts. This can be done during car rides or playing board games with dice. Make it fun!
Reading - Students will be expected to read 3 nights a week and fill out a reading log.
Spelling - A new list of words will be assigned each week. We will practice these words in class, however, studying at home will help prepare for weekly tests. Students may write out their list at home and bring it back to be counted as bonus points toward their test. One point will be awarded per written list and up to 5 bonus points will be counted toward their test.
