What a great week!! I hope the kids enjoyed it! Our new STUDENT OF THE WEEK for the upcoming week will be SHELBY HICKS!

As a reminder: Seasonal fall attire is permitted, providing the attire does not include (Halloween) witches, wizards, jack-o-lantern faces, or scary graphics, etc…

Tests this week will be on Friday. Phonics, Math and Writing are covered in class. We go over our spelling list as well, but extra practice at home helps tremendously!

HAVE A GREAT WEEKEND!!! 🍂

Friday, September 24, 2021

Next week we will be starting a new Bible passage for memorization. Our first verse will be John 14:1 "Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, Believe also in me." We will NOT be having a Grandparent's Day Presentation this week as we are trying to limit gathering of crowds. However, your kids will be bringing home a craft that we have been working on in class to give to their grandparents.

Tests this week will be:

Thursday: Writing Test 3

Friday: Bible Memorization (John 14:1)

            Phonics Test 5

            Math Test 4

In order to reduce the use of water fountains at the school, please make sure your child brings a bottle of water everyday. If you would like to bring in a case of water for the kids to drink, it can be dropped off at the office and it is very much appreciated!

    Wednesday - Writing Test 1

ENJOY YOUR WEEKEND!!

Friday, August 20, 2021

I want to thank everyone for a fantastic first three days of school! I have enjoyed getting to know each one of your kiddos. There are a few things that you will need to know as we go into next week:

1. Make sure your child finishes their "All About Me" poster and brings it with them on Monday. We will have a STUDENT OF THE WEEK and will hang their poster in our classroom. I will let you know on here who will be student of the week next Friday. That student will be able to bring a favorite book for me to read to the class, a favorite toy to show us and a favorite snack to share on Friday, if they would like.

2. Your child can bring a water bottle to class to drink from during the day. Make sure it is filled with water (flavored is fine as long as it is clear).

3. There is a green folder that your child will bring home everyday. Be sure to check it everyday and send it back with any completed homework or forms.

4. The first list of spelling words will be sent home today and the test will be next Friday, August 27. We will practice these words in class, but it will be helpful to study these words at home. Don't forget, they will get bonus points (up to five) for writing out their list and bringing it back.

HAVE A GREAT WEEKEND!
