Psalm 1

1 Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful.

² But his delight is in the law of the Lord; and in his law doth he meditate day and night.

³ And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.

⁴ The ungodly are not so: but are like the chaff which the wind driveth away.

⁵ Therefore the ungodly shall not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous.

Announcements:

    January 30th through February 3rd is HOMECOMING WEEK at NLCA. Please read below for information about each day. 

• Monday: Country vs. Country Club  
• Please be sure that your child brings a LIONS shirt on Monday so we can record our commercial.
• Tuesday: Neon Day (don't forget your glowsticks!)
• Wednesday: Zoomfit (dress like you would for a ZOOM meeting)
• Thursday: School Spirit Day - Wear your homecoming shirt!
• Friday: Black-out Day

Tests:

    Tests this week will be on Thursday, with the exception of Spelling. We will still have the practice test Thursday with the actual test being on Friday. If you have any questions, feel free to send a message on Class Dojo and I will answer as soon as possible.

• Wednesday 1/18 - The art teacher needs each student to bring an empty toilet paper roll by this day for a project.

Your child will be bringing home some reading assignments for homework this week. This can be counted as part of their required 20 minutes of at-home reading, so please add it to their reading log.

PLEASE practice addition and subtraction math facts with your child. Play games in the car while you travel or play at home with dice, etc. Get creative and let them enjoy it. This will help, tremendously! This week I would like for you to target the 11 addition and subtraction families.
