Good afternoon! I just have a few announcements for the coming week. Remember, there will be a 2 hour EARLY DISMISSAL on Monday and the public bus will not be running. Thursday, March 17 is the end of the third nine weeks. Finally, there will be no school on Friday, March 18 and I will be sending home some work for them to do that day.

Tuesday - Phonics Test 23, Writing Test 21

Wednesday - Math Test 22, Spelling PRACTICE TEST List 24 (They have had all of these words before, 

                      so they will be fine with an earlier test.)

Thursday - Bible Test Matthew 28:19, Spelling Test List 24

I sent home several papers that the children completed while I was out. Although I checked them, I did not enter those as a grade (except the tests). Please go over them with your child and let me know if there is something that you believe they may need a little extra help with.

Again, please stress to your children the importance of READING and FOLLOWING directions. Quite often, answers are marked wrong only because a child didn't follow the directions that are on the paper, even though we go over those before they start.

We have been trying to write stories during writing class for the past couple of weeks, however, most of these kiddos don't seem to enjoy putting those stories on paper. They LOVE to come in and tell me all about their evening or weekend, but if I ask them to write it in a journal, it's like pulling teeth. Please encourage your child to use their imaginations to write incredible stories. I know they can do it!
