I want to thank you all for allowing me the privilege of teaching your children this year. They're so full of life and are always ready to share stories with me. Over the past school year, I have watched your children learn, laugh, cry, and grow. I've seen some of them extend kindness to others who were in need. We have become a little family inside the walls of our classroom and I wouldn't have it any other way. I'm a little downhearted because I will miss seeing them each day, but I am also overcome with joy, knowing that they are ready for their next adventure.

Homework Policy

In second grade, homework is typically limited to Reading, Spelling, and Bible. However, if classwork is not completed by the end of the day, it must be completed at home for homework. Additionally, it is important for students to practice math facts. This can be done during car rides or playing board games with dice. Make it fun!
Reading - Students will be expected to read 3 nights a week and fill out a reading log.
Spelling - A new list of words will be assigned each week. We will practice these words in class, however, studying at home will help prepare for weekly tests. Students may write out their list at home and bring it back to be counted as bonus points toward their test. One point will be awarded per written list and up to 5 bonus points will be counted toward their test.
