Important Dates:

December 15 - School Christmas Program 10:00 and 7:00 (Students need to be at BOTH performances) **Please dress your child in festive church clothes for these performances. Also, try to avoid shoes that have the lights on them. You will be able to sign your child out after the morning performance and I will need everyone back in our classroom at 6:30 p.m. so we can get ready for the evening performance.**

Class Christmas Party - If your child would like to participate in a gift exchange, send in a small, gender neutral gift. Please try not to spend more that $10.00. I will provide their lunch, if someone would like to send some cookies.

Tests This Week:

Homework Policy

In second grade, homework is typically limited to Reading, Spelling, and Bible. However, if classwork is not completed by the end of the day, it must be completed at home. Additionally, it is important for students to practice math facts. This can be done during car rides or playing board games with dice. Make it fun!
Reading - Students will be expected to read 3 nights a week and fill out a reading log.
Spelling - A new list of words will be assigned each week. We will practice these words in class, however, studying at home will help prepare for weekly tests. Students may write out their list at home and bring it back to be counted as bonus points toward their test. One point will be awarded per written list and up to 5 bonus points will be counted toward their test.
