One more week until Thanksgiving Break! I know we are all excited! I only have a few changes for the week. We will have a small Thanksgiving party on Friday, if anyone would like to help, please let me know and we will talk about what we will be doing.

 DON'T FORGET, there will be no school on Wednesday and Thursday this week. We will not be having a Spelling Test or Bible Test, however, I do expect the kiddos to go ahead and practice for the next week. Our next Bible Test will be on Friday, November 19 and will be on John 14:1-6. We've said these verses individually and now we will put them together. We will have one test this week and it will be our MATH TEST on Friday.

• Wednesday, November 10 - NO SCHOOL - ONLY staff will report to school for county-wide Professional Learning
• Thursday, November 11 - Veteran's Day - No School THANK YOU VETERANS!! 💙
• Friday, November 12 - Turkey in Disguise turkeys are due back by today
• Friday, November 19 - Theme Day: Thanksgiving 🦃 and "Anything But a Backpack." Get creative and let your student bring their books and supplies in "Anything But a Back Pack"!
• Thursday, December 9 - School wide drive-thru Christmas Program (This will take the place of our annual play this year.) We would love for every student to participate, but if you do not want your elementary child to participate, please let me know ASAP.

Hooray for FRIDAY!!

We have been working hard in second grade this week! We will be learning lots of new things that we haven't seen before, so make sure your kiddos are practicing these skills at home. 

Our memory verse for this week is John 14:6 

 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

Important Dates

November 10th is a Professional Learning Day for teachers.

 There will be NO SCHOOL for students.

November 11th is Veteran's Day. There is NO SCHOOL.

 REPORT CARDS WILL GO OUT MONDAY

We are wrapping up October with a Harvest Party on Friday, October 29, 2021.

Don't worry about lunch, we will be having pizza and some other goodies!!

We have our field trip to the fire station on Monday, so make sure your children wear comfortable walking shoes and a jacket. 🚒

Another week is in the books and we are making progress in 2nd Grade! This week's Memory verse is John 14:3 -  And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also. 

Your kiddos love to have a small snack during the day and we are starting to run low, so if anyone would like to bring any prepackaged items in, they would appreciate it. Also, our bottled water won't last much longer, so if you don't want your child drinking from the fountain, make sure they bring some with them.
