11/21 - Class Thanksgiving Party - I will send out a list of things we need on Class Dojo, so if you see something that you would like to bring in, please let me know. Thank you!!
11/24-11/28 - Thanksgiving Break
December 11 - School Christmas Program
December 19 - End of Second Nine Weeks
December 22-January 2 - Christmas Break

Monday - Writing Test 9
Tuesday - Phonics Test 11
Thursday - Practice Spelling Test List 12
Friday - Math Test 11, Writing Test 10, Spelling Test List 12, Bible Test Psalm 24:5 He shall receive the blessing from the Lord, and righteousness from the God of his salvation.

Homework Policy

In second grade, homework is typically limited to Reading, Spelling, and Bible. However, if classwork is not completed by the end of the day, it must be completed at home. Additionally, it is important for students to practice math facts. This can be done during car rides or playing board games with dice. Make it fun!
Reading - Students will be expected to read 3 nights a week and fill out a reading log.
Spelling - A new list of words will be assigned each week. We will practice these words in class, however, studying at home will help prepare for weekly tests. Students may write out their list at home and bring it back to be counted as bonus points toward their test. One point will be awarded per written list and up to 5 bonus points will be counted toward their test.
