Important Dates:

February 2-6 - HOMECOMING **
February 16 - Professional Development Day - No Students
February 18 - Parent/Teacher Conferences and Spring Pictures
March 11 - Professional Development Day - No Students, End of 3rd Nine Weeks

POINTS are given when students are participating in theme days! Make sure to dress and earn points for our class!

***ALL IN - Paper Chain.... Each class is given a color and we will make one giant chain. Each link is 25 cents and points are awarded for the longest chain.***

Weather pending, we will still plan to take our practice Spelling Test on Thursday and the final one on Friday.

Homework Policy

In second grade, homework is typically limited to Reading, Spelling, and Bible. However, if classwork is not completed by the end of the day, it must be completed at home. Additionally, it is important for students to practice math facts. This can be done during car rides or playing board games with dice. Make it fun!
Reading - Students will be expected to read 3 nights a week and fill out a reading log.
Spelling - A new list of words will be assigned each week. We will practice these words in class, however, studying at home will help prepare for weekly tests. Students may write out their list at home and bring it back to be counted as bonus points toward their test. One point will be awarded per written list and up to 5 bonus points will be counted toward their test.
