Important Dates:

5/18 - Pre-K/Kindergarten Graduation 9:00 and 11:00
5/18 - Talent Show 1:00-2:25
5/19 - 1st and 2nd Grade FIELD TRIP - Bowling from 9:30-11:30, then to the park for pizza
5/20 - End of Year Fun Day 10:00-2:00 - Drop off and pick up will be at the usual time
5/22 - Awards Day - 2nd grade will have awards at 9:00
5/25 - Memorial Day NO SCHOOL
5/26 - Professional Development NO SCHOOL for STUDENTS

Homework Policy

In second grade, homework is typically limited to Reading, Spelling, and Bible. However, if classwork is not completed by the end of the day, it must be completed at home. Additionally, it is important for students to practice math facts. This can be done during car rides or playing board games with dice. Make it fun!
Reading - Students will be expected to read 3 nights a week and fill out a reading log.
Spelling - A new list of words will be assigned each week. We will practice these words in class, however, studying at home will help prepare for weekly tests. Students may write out their list at home and bring it back to be counted as bonus points toward their test. One point will be awarded per written list and up to 5 bonus points will be counted toward their test.
