Homework Policy

In second grade, homework is typically limited to Reading, Spelling, and Bible. However, if classwork is not completed by the end of the day, it must be completed at home. Additionally, it is important for students to practice math facts. This can be done during car rides or playing board games with dice. Make it fun!
Reading - Students will have a Reading assignment each evening and will be expected to fill out a log with a parent/guardian signature and turn it in at the beginning of each week.
Spelling - A new list of words will be assigned each week. We will practice these words in class, however, studying at home will help prepare for weekly tests. Students may write out their list at home and bring it back to be counted as bonus points toward their test. One point will be awarded per written list and up to 5 bonus points will be counted toward their test.
